Information
For those with conditions requiring assistance, we offer a variety of 3D-printed upper limb assistive device designs. Most designs require a functional palm or wrist that can bend at least 30 degrees in either direction. For those who have a functional wrist and a complete or partial palm, the offered designs work by bending the wrist to open and close the fingers of the prosthetic. The effectiveness of these designs depends on the user's ability to readily bend their wrist and use their palm as leverage against the object. The following wrist-actuated designs are currently recommended by the e-NABLE Community: e-NABLE Phoenix Hand v3, Phoenix v2 Hand
However, for individuals without a functional wrist or palm, the community has developed designs that utilize the bending of the elbow instead. These designs require a functional elbow that can bend easily and part/most of the forearm for proper operation. The following elbow-actuated designs are currently recommended by the e-NABLE Community: Unlimbited Arm v2.1
